Larimar Wave Circle Drop Earrings in 925 Sterling Silver
A curl of Larimar shaped like a breaking wave, set inside an open sterling silver circle so the stone crests against the rim. It is the most literal nod to the sea in the collection, and it works because the stone's own colouring does the job rather than any added detail.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. On a curved cut like this the white banding tends to gather at the crest, which is why the wave shape suits the material so well. Every pair breaks slightly differently.
Each earring measures around 19 mm by 11 mm and the pair weighs about 3 grams, so they hang without pulling.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.

Care
Larimar is relatively soft at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Remove before swimming and showering, clean with a soft damp cloth, and store in a pouch away from harder stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged sunlight.
