Larimar Two Stone Duo Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
Two small Larimar cabochons, one teardrop and one round, meet at the front of a slim silver band that opens rather than closes. The pairing is the whole idea: two shapes, two shades of blue, no other ornament.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. On stones this small the colour tends to read clearly, so the two often sit at slightly different tones, one a little paler than the other.
At around 2.1 grams this is one of the lightest rings in the collection and the easiest to wear every day or stack with a plain band.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.

Care
Larimar is relatively soft at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Remove before swimming, showering and exercise, clean with a soft damp cloth, and store away from harder stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged sunlight.
