Larimar Oval Bezel Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
An oval Larimar cabochon sunk flush into a smooth sterling silver band, so the stone reads as part of the ring rather than perched on it. Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic, and because it forms naturally, every cabochon carries its own balance of blue, turquoise and white. The one you receive will be its own.
The bezel wraps the full edge of the stone, which matters with Larimar: at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale it is on the softer side, and an enclosed rim protects the edges far better than prongs. That makes this the more practical shape for everyday wear. There are no side stones, just clean silver and colour.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.
