Larimar Inlay Dome Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
An oval Larimar set flush into a smooth domed band, so the stone sits level with the silver rather than raised above it. There is nothing to catch on a sleeve, which makes this the most practical ring in the collection to wear all day.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. Set into the band this way, the stone reads as a pool of blue let into the metal, and its natural veining is the only pattern on an otherwise plain ring.
At around 2.8 grams the band has a solid, rounded weight to it that feels more like a signet than a stone ring.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.
