Larimar Halo Pendant Necklace in 925 Sterling Silver
A round Larimar cabochon set at the centre of a halo of small sparkling accent stones, hung from a fine silver chain. The halo does what halos do: it frames the blue and makes a modest stone read larger on the neck.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. A domed round cut catches light across the whole face, so the paler cloudy areas and the deeper blue shift as you move. Every stone is different.
The pendant and chain together weigh around 3.2 grams, light enough to forget you have it on.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.

Care
Larimar is relatively soft at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Remove before swimming and showering, put it on after perfume and hairspray, clean gently with a soft damp cloth and a dry brush around the halo, and store flat in a pouch. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged sunlight.
