Larimar Teardrop Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
A teardrop Larimar cabochon set high on scrolled sterling silver shoulders, its blue shifting between shallow-water turquoise and soft white cloud. Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic, and because it forms naturally, no two stones share the same pattern. The ring you receive will have its own.
The prong setting lifts the stone so light reaches it from the sides, while small zircon accents in the openwork shoulders add a quiet sparkle against Larimar's softer, silky lustre. At around 3.1 grams it sits substantially on the hand without feeling heavy.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the throat chakra, calm communication and the steadying feeling of the sea. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.
