Larimar Square Bezel Rope Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
A square Larimar sits high in a plain silver bezel above a band twisted like rope. The stone is generously sized at roughly 11.6 mm across, so it reads as a proper statement piece rather than a subtle one.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. A flat square face like this shows the material at its most honest: whatever banding, mottling or shift in tone the stone formed with is right there on the surface.
At around 3.5 grams it is one of the heavier rings in the collection, and the rope texture stops the wide bezel from looking plain.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.

Care
Larimar is relatively soft at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale, and a raised square has four corners to catch. Remove before swimming, showering and exercise, clean with a soft damp cloth, and store away from harder stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged sunlight.
