Larimar Oval Halo Pavé Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
An oval Larimar cabochon raised in prongs, circled by a halo of small sparkling stones, with the sparkle continuing part way down each shoulder. It borrows the language of a classic engagement ring and swaps the centre stone for something with weather in it.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. Set against bright accents the blue reads deeper than it does alone, and the white cloudiness in the cabochon shows clearly under the dome.
At around 1.9 grams this is the most delicate ring in the collection, slim enough to wear alongside a wedding band.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.

Care
Larimar is relatively soft at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Remove before swimming, showering and exercise, clean with a soft damp cloth and a dry brush around the pavé, and store away from harder stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged sunlight.
