Larimar Offset Rectangle Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
Two rectangular Larimar stones bezel-set on a diagonal, one stepped above the other rather than sitting in line. The offset is the entire design, and it gives the ring an architectural look that is unusual for a soft blue stone.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. The flat rectangular cut shows the material honestly, with whatever veining and shifts in tone the stone came with, and the two pieces are never a matched pair.
At around 2.9 grams it has weight and covers a fair span of the finger, so it works as the single ring on a hand.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.

Care
Larimar is relatively soft at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale, and the corners of a rectangular cut are the first thing to knock. Remove before swimming, showering and exercise, clean with a soft damp cloth, and store away from harder stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged sunlight.
