Larimar Heart Solitaire Ring in 925 Sterling Silver
A heart-cut Larimar held in claw prongs, raised just clear of a slim sterling silver band with small zircon set into the shoulders. It is the most openly romantic shape in the range and the lightest piece here, which keeps it from tipping into sentimentality.
Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite found in the Dominican Republic. Cut into a heart, the stone's natural drift of turquoise and white falls differently across every piece, so yours will carry its own pattern.
At around 1.8 grams it barely registers on the hand. A quiet choice for a promise or an anniversary, and easy enough to wear that it will not be saved for special occasions only.
In Caribbean and crystal tradition Larimar is associated with the sea and sky, the throat chakra and calm communication. These are traditional associations rather than demonstrated effects.

Care
Larimar is relatively soft at 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale, and the point of a heart cut is its most vulnerable spot. Remove before swimming, showering and exercise, clean with a soft damp cloth, and store away from harder stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged sunlight.
